Hey Guys,
I know that most of you have actual lives now, and can't be bothered with trivial things like keeping up with the message board or the Ermoon site. But in hoping that the legacy of Ermoon will not disappear with the creation of Oliver and Daren's new world, I've started another campaign with fresh blood (only one has had real experience with Ermoon, and another knows a bit about Chien). The point is fast approaching, rest assured.

Anyway. I was hoping that whoever is in charge of the website, would repair the broken links, or spend a little time updating it. I understand if this is a time-consuming and difficult thing to do. But Ermoon is an awesome setting, and I would hate to see it fall into disuse.

Also, Daren,
Laura and I were talking, and we think it'd be really cool if her and Charlie and I could borrow your notebook of Ermoon stuff to type up since Charlie loves to type, and I spend most of my time at work doing things that are less important.

Hmm... I think that's about it. I've noticed that the board has fallen out of use, so I don't know if this will fall on deaf ears or not, but it would be cool, if we worked to return everything to its former glory.

Sincerely,
Kelso

Hey Kelso,

I don't think Darren really wanders around here much any more, but I'll pass your comments along to him when next I see him. I too would like to see Ermoon continue as a viable world.

You know, there is a chance they'll be looking for a new player soon, Tim quit and I may be taking a break for a bit over a year if given the opportunity to learn how to make a more realistic Hejazian (sp?) character.

If you're hejazian, just grab your cutlass and declare war on anyone who believes in something different from you.

I know it did, I talked with Oliver about it while he was in town. I asked him if he'd renew it if I gave him 15 bucks and he said yes, but then I lost too much money at poker and didn't have 15 dollars to give him (I blame Monk).

So if we all pull together, we can get the domain back up!

Don't wanna butt in, so excuse me if I step on toes!

I'm still willing and able to host the Ermoon site. I will be able to renew it faster than Oliver will be able to buy it, when it is released to the registry. By then, most likely, it will be too late as someone has probably scarfed the purchase rights so they can contact me and offer to sell it to me for about $125.

I can renew it for $19.99.

I'm also willing to host it, but for a fee...as it would be with any other hosting company such as mine. I'll provide more than anybody'd give us from another hosting company, and would handles server admin so there would be no cost associated with that.

If this is agreeable, I imagine somebody could maintain the site, even if Daren is out of the picture (which, even if it isn't official, we should al probably buck up and realize he ain't interested in this thing online) and Oliver has no desire. I hear Dan can run a WYSIWYG HTML program when push comes to shove!

Anyhoo...ermoon email addresses, sub-domains for campaigns, even sub-sub domains for characters, digital storage of the ermoon milieu, loads of web space, etc. I'm willing to provide it, along with the service we all know won't come from another hosting company...but it will cost between $12 and $16 in resources every month, and if bandwidth gets over 1Gb (That's a million file accesses or "hits") per month then it's $4 per Gb or part thereof over.

We can work something through paypal, if you guys wanna work some finance committee/consortium that will keep it going and not make me have to chase someone down every month for a measly 15 bucks.

Glad there's still interest out there. I'm a lone wolf waiting for a game, but everyone seems organizaed with each other, so I'll just play my part on this end of the digital divide.

BTW: Don't underestimate the interest of non-Texas players to participate/fund/keep this thing going.

Okay...I'll crawl back into my hidey hole again. Just let me know if you decide something.

Cheers!
