Well, GRRM isn't done yet, but he will be satiating our salivation for Book Four of the "A Song of Fire and Ice" series. From his website (www.georgerrmartin.com):
Quote:
Meanwhile, for those who cannot wait another six months or so to return to the Seven Kingdoms, there will be a novella-length excerpt from the fourth book in the March issue of DRAGON magazine, which should be on sale in most good newsstands and gaming stores by late February.
The novella is titled "Arms of the Kraken," and is part of the Prologue of A FEAST FOR CROWS, although the action overlaps the end of A STORM OF SWORDS. Set on the storm-swept Iron Islands, "Arms of the Kraken" tells the story of the struggle for the Seastone Chair after the death of Balon Greyjoy, and sets the stage for some important developments in A FEAST FOR CROWS. You will find it in DRAGON, issue #305.
Check out his site. It's gonna be great book, I'm sure.
I hear Leinster on Ermooon is modeled around some of this series settings/organization.

I am a big, big fan of ASoIaF. In the preliminary Lienster work I did, I used a lot of the house names for Lienster noble houses, but have revised those names a lot. There is also a Night's Watch, which is sort of a cross between those guys on The Wall and the Dunedain from LotR.
AFoC comes out in what, September? Maybe? He is not even finished writing it yet, so who knows.
Interesting discussions, though the people there are not as nearly as nice and smart as the folks who frequent ENWorld, not to mention these wonderful Ermoon boards.
